Ebury Edge Christmas Art Fair

Added November 2021

On the 4th and 5th of December, Ebury Edge hosted a Christmas Art Fair!

There were around 30 artists and makers across both days, and I had a stall on the 4th, with food and drinks and Live music!

It was a lovely day and I particularly loved the brass band we had delighting us with their Christmas song renditions.

I will also be at the Blue House Yard Market on the 12th of December so if you can’t make it to Ebury, you are welcome to pop along then!

Ebury Edge is at 43 Ebury Bridge Road, SW1W 8DX and Blue House Yard is at 5 River Park Road, Wood Green, N22 7TB

Wave Cafe Open Evening

Updated December 2021

The lovely people at Wave Cafe in Muswell Hill organised a fundraiser event on the 2nd of December to support their program of inclusivity, creativity and fun, which included an exhibition and sale of local artists’ work and I was involved!

Their aim is to bring people together from across the community, creating opportunities for those with and without learning disabilities to socialise and have fun together and I am pleased to say the event was very successful.

If you are based in North London, I would highly recommend popping by to buy some of their delicious cakes and support this wonderful social enterprise.

Deptford Does Art

Added June 2021

Some of my prints and cards are now stocked at Deptford Does Art!

This wonderful shop and gallery space stocks an amazing range of goodies from independent makers and creators. From prints and cards to jewellery, from home accessories to clothings and candles, you name it- they have it! And because they work with local, independent creative, it makes for a very unique, sustainable shopping experience.

They also put on great exhibitions- I was thrilled to be part of their illustration and print open last year, and am glad to now be working with them as it will give more opportunities to head down there and check out the current show!

I really recommend a visit if you are in the area. They are at:

28 Deptford High Street, Deptford, London, SE8 4AF

Artists Walk 2021

Added May 2021

I am delighted to announce that I will be taking part in Artists Walk again this year.

You may recall last year’s Artists Walk, where artists displayed works in their window and some works were also on display in the windows of Alexandra Palace.

This year Artists Walk is taking place over the summer and is taking the form of an Art Trail around Alexandra Palace.

A copy of my screenprint Fragmented is displayed near the Grove area of the park (near the Muswell Hill entrance). If you pop to the park and come across it, give me a shout on social media!

Artists Walk runs from July till the end of September.

Crossing the Liminal

Added May 2021

I was very pleased to be involved in ArtCan’s exhibition “Crossing the Liminal”. The show has now closed but it was such a beautifully curated show, with a great selection of diverse works all addressing the theme in different ways.

“Now more than ever the connections we have with the places and spaces we live in are some of the most important. Whether you’re disconnected from the places you love or are discovering new places near where you live and appreciating it in a wholly new way, the outdoors has offered us an escape from the realities of life in a pandemic. As our relationship with these places evolves we find something new in them. Crossing the liminal seeks to explore these new connections, memories of old and the transition between the two.” Lucy Pickford, Curator

The exhibition ran from the 26th of June until the 10th of July at the Hampstead Garden gallery in North London.

From ArtCan with Love

Updated July 2021

I was delighted to be involved in ArtCan’s annual fundraising exhibition “From ArtCan with Love” this year!

The selection of contemporary, postcard-sized art by ArtCan’s national and international artist members was amazing, and I was pleased that my postcards got bought on the night, and that I managed to snap up some gorgeous works by some great artists!

As an entirely volunteer led, non-profit organisation, and with a strong ethos of supporting artists, ArtCan do not take commission, but a small fee from exhibiting artists. We aim to keep these costs to a minimum by getting sponsorship wherever possible and by raising funds through fundraising activities like From ArtCan with Love.

100% of funds raised will contribute to ArtCan’s vibrant 2021-2022 programme of both physical and virtual events and exhibitions.

You can register for the event or learn more about it by clicking on the button below to visit their website.

Unity Art Project

Updated May 2021

In May I took part in a great charity project launched by artist and printmaker Lucy Chapman. It is a collaborative project where over 20 artists hand finished a print made by Lucy. All prints were then auctioned with all proceeds going to The Trussell Trust.

The auction closed on the 23rd of May and we raised nearly £3000!! Lucy did an amazing job organising all, and I am so glad we were able to raise that much money for this important cause.

The Trussell Trust is a charity which supports a UK wide network of food banks and together they provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, as well as campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK.

In the UK, more than 14 million people are living in poverty – including 4.5 million children. The Trussell Trust supports more than 1,200 food bank centres in the UK to provide a minimum of three days’ nutritionally-balanced emergency food to people who have been referred in crisis, as well as support to help people resolve the crises they face. Between April 2019 and March 2020, food banks in their network provided a record 1.9 million food supplies to people in crisis, an 18% increase on the previous year and during the coronavirus pandemic food banks have seen need rise even further.

Edition 7 Open Printmaking exhibition at 44AD

Updated may 2021

I am delighted to share that some of my prints were selected for 44AD’s Edition 7 Open Printmaking exhibition.

It was so good to be part of a physical exhibition after a mostly virtual year. I had the opportunity to attend the “finissage” PV on the last day and I was very impressed by some of the works on show!

The PV went very well, a lot of people attended and it was nice to mill around inside and outside the gallery, enjoying the works with a nice cold drink!

The exhibition ran from the 14th to the 21st of May at the gallery in Bath

I was in ArtCan’s new virtual exhibition, Prelude

Updated April 2021

Earlier this year, one of my Cyanotype was included in ArtCan’s beautiful exhibition Prelude.

I read the name, and the theme, as an invitation to share ways in which our rapidly changing world is pushing us to new beginnings, experiments, discoveries.

My print, called “the risk of blossoming” was created with this theme in mind, and it symbolises a new beginning for me, and the risk inherent to every new adventure. You can see it on the Cyanotype page on this site.

The exhibition ran in a virtual way from the 23rd of February to the 23rd of April.

Art Number 23’s virtual exhibition, “A New Era”

Updated April 2021

3 of my screenprints were selected for Art Number 23’s new virtual exhibition, called “A new Era” which ran in February t2021

There were a lot of wonderful artists taking part and I am really chuffed to have been one of them. While art galleries are closed or difficult to access due to covid, it was amazing to still be able to share work through online galleries, and Art Number 23 are doing an amazing job with their virtual group exhibitions. It almost feels as if you really are wandering through a gallery taking it all in!

. The exhibition is now closed but you can learn about them by clicking on the button below.
