A light house on a rocky outpost towering above the ocean. Its reassuring light guiding the sailors home, a lodestar in the darkness, the promise of the harbour nearby, the end of the odyssey…

But as it dissolves into colour, the light blurs and vacillates- its contours become porous and moving, the glow multiplies and distorts, and a ghost image imprints itself on the retina. Which light to follow, which colour to trust? Does it clear a path towards home, or do rocks loom just below the surface?

Like mythological sirens enticing sailors to their death with their song, the mesmerising light becomes a dangerous lure.
