The belfry, the windows, the stars. Sometimes the stage is set for dancing and we don’t even know it...

The idea of this print had been with me for a while, but making it real wasn’t easy. First I had to find the right images, the right colours, the right composition. Printing it was difficult too. The image was tenacious, it resisted me, and I nearly gave up on it.

But I couldn’t let it go. Instead I continued working on it, adding layer after layer until i got the darkness just right, until the stars shone brightly in the sky (notice how one even escaped from the image), until suddenly the gloominess felt illuminated...
